HOW IT WORKS

How it works

Order Labs and Complete Questionnaires

The first step will be to order the lab test kits. As you wait for the test kits to arrive, you will fill out the questionnaires. Once they are completed, we will schedule our initial consultation.

1.

Initial Consultation

We will discuss your expectations, goals, and health history and review your questionnaires. These intake forms will be the foundation for us to create a plan for your unique needs. At this point, it would be best if you had most of your labs completed as we await the results. The lab results can take up to three to four weeks to arrive.

2.

1. In-Depth Session
Lab Results Review and Interpretation

As soon as the results have arrived, we will work through the lab results and the interpretation. During these 60 - 90 mins, we will look for deficiencies, subtle toxicities, gut imbalances, and other clinical correlations to the symptoms experienced.

3.

2. In-Depth Session
Athlete's and Health Optimization Recommendations

The second In-Depth session has more of a hands-on approach. In this call, we will, on the one hand, talk about a comprehensive 90 -120 day lifestyle, diet, and supplement protocol. On the other hand, about strategies and tools to improve your health and performance.

4.

Follow Up Sessions and
E-Mail Support

Depending on your "Journey," several 45 min follow-up sessions will be scheduled bi-weekly for three to six months. These follow-ups help you stay on track, work through the educational resources, and course-correct if needed.

5.

Final Session and
Conclusion

Our final session is time to look at what happened in the last three to six months and celebrate your newly adopted lifestyle changes. Do you feel better? Did your symptoms improve or resolve? What does your athletic performance look like now? Through these and other questions, we will go through in our final meeting.

Now is also a good time for lab retesting to track progress.

6.

DUTCH – Hormone Assessment

We are looking at several important sex and adrenal hormones (e.g., cortisol, DHEA, estrogen, testosterone, etc.) They give us insight into your current hormone status and if there are any hormonal imbalances. Additionally, the daily pattern of cortisol is included, along with melatonin, 8-OHdG (a biomarker for oxidative stress), and six organic acids.

Gastro Intestinal Health Screen

The GI Map measures your gastrointestinal microbiota using state-of-the-art quantitative polymerase chain reaction (aPCR) technology to detect parasites, bacteria, fungi, and more. The GI Map was designed to detect gastrointestinal imbalances and provide indicators of digestion, immune function, absorption, and inflammation.

Intestinal Permeability (Leaky Gut)

The IP test shows us the condition of your gut lining and if there are any cracks or holes, allowing partially digested food, toxins, and bugs to penetrate the tissues beneath it. This may trigger inflammation and damage to your gut. Thus the IP test indicates whether one suffers from reduced absorption capacity, increased gastrointestinal permeability, inflammation, etc.

Metabolomix+: A Personalized Functional Nutritional Assessment

The Metabolomix+ is a unique combination of nutritional tests that analyzes key nutritional biomarkers. Metabolomix+ nutritional test is a non-invasive, patient-friendly way to assess the functional need for antioxidants, B-vitamins, minerals, digestive support, amino acids, urine elements, and fatty acids.

Insights gained from the Metabolomix+ nutritional test allow practitioners to target nutritional therapies to meet the precise needs of their patients.

Nordic Food Panel 184 IgG - Comprehensive panel of 184 foods

Food allergies and food sensitivities are abnormal responses to a food component triggered by the immune system in the form of immunoglobulins (IgE, IgG, IgA, IgM), representing either an immediate or delayed response. Most adverse immune reactions are mediated by IgG and are termed food sensitivities. A single bloodspot test can identify a patient's food sensitivities.
